Meet your Counsellor
Working alongside you towards your goals.
Hi, I'm Rachel
I'm a registered counsellor providing supportive telehealth counselling for adults across Australia.
My approach is grounded in hope, compassion, and the belief that every person has strengths and inner resources that can be drawn upon during difficult times. Even when life feels overwhelming, people can discover new possibilities, build on what is already working, and take meaningful steps towards the life they want to create.
In my work in counselling, community services, and disability support, I have seen the difference that a safe, non-judgemental space can make to people. Feeling heard, understood, and validated can be an important first step towards positive change.
I created Golden Pathways Counselling to offer more than simply a listening ear. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can explore challenges, recognise your strengths, and work towards the goals that matter most to you. Together, we will focus on practical, meaningful steps that support your overall wellbeing.
My work draws on Solution-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed practices, providing individualised support for your unique needs, experiences, and goals.
Member of the Australian Counselling Association
As an ACA Registered Counsellor, I adhere to a professional Code of Ethics, engage in ongoing professional development, and am committed to providing safe, ethical, and client-centred support.
How I work
I use a range of research-backed approaches in my counselling practice, tailored to my clients' unique circumstances and goals.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy helps identify strengths, resources, and practical steps towards your goals. Rather than focusing solely on problems, we work together to identify what is already working and how positive change can be built upon.
Positive Psychology
Positive Psychology focuses on wellbeing, resilience, and personal strengths. This approach supports you to recognise what's going well, develop healthy coping strategies, and build a more fulfilling life.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps explore the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. By identifying unhelpful patterns, you can develop practical skills to manage challenges more effectively.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic Therapy recognises the connection between mind and body. It can help increase awareness of physical responses to stress, emotions, and trauma, supporting greater regulation, safety, and wellbeing.
Creative Counselling Techniques
Creative approaches can provide alternative ways to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences when words alone are difficult. These techniques are always adapted to your comfort level and preferences.
